"Bread – Food for the Poor or a Staple Food?” On Attitudes Towards Bread Among Young People in Times of Scarcity and Abundance

We will contemplate how to raise young people's awareness of the importance of bread in times of scarcity and abundance. We will reflect on the emotions that memories of bread evoke in different generations, and how to use baking heritage to encourage critical contemplation on the pitfalls of the development of the food processing industry. We will also answer the question of whether exploring the history of bread can help us understand multiculturalism, gender equality and find ways to explore local cultural specificities.
