Research Station Nova Gorica
The research station is the only research organisation in the wider region of Nova Gorica. Its purpose is in-depth study of history, language, ethnology, bibliography and art history of the area which reaches across the Slovenia-Italy border and includes Slovenian minority in the Gorizia and Udine regions. The research station conducts research about life in the Littoral area in the past as well as in modernity. The knowledge thus created can and is being transferred into development strategies in economy, sustainable development and as well as strengthening regional and local identities.
