Research interests

In 1999 she graduated from the Department of Ethnology and Cultural Anthropology and the Department of Art History at Ljubljana's Faculty of Arts and in 2012 she graduated from the same university with a doctorate in ethnology. In 2000 she started working as a research assistant at the ZRC SAZU Institute of Slovenian Ethnology, where she studies heritage, architecture, dwelling culture, domestic lifestyle, mountain pasture and livestock grazing and trade between countryside and towns. Since 2004 she has been working at the Research Station Nova Gorica. During the 2001-2003 she was on editorial board of the Monitor ISH, since 2004 of the Izvestje Raziskovalne postaje ZRC SAZU v Novi Gorici and since 2008 of the Goriški letnik. She presents her expert and research work at periodical lectures and seminars at the University of Ljubljana, Primorska, Nova Gorica, Krakow, Lima and Udine; since 2019 she is an assistant professor at the Postgraduate school ZRC SAZU. During the years 2012-2016 she was a vice-president of the Expert Council of the Slovenian Ethnographic Museum. Since 2014 she has been a member of the Scientific Council of the National and Study Library in Trieste, and since 2017 of the Action Group 6 of the European Union Strategy for the Alpine region. Between 2016-2017 she was a research fellow at the University of Udine. Since 2019 she leads multidisciplinary research programme Heritage on the Margins.
