Boštjan Videmšek: Peace and War

The discussion with journalist and war reporter Boštjan Videmšek will explore the issue of contemporary wars (Ukraine, Gaza) and the elusive (permanent) peace, also in a historical perspective. As one of the most incisive critical observers and thinkers on contemporary crises, from climate change to war, he will discuss his latest book, Peace and War (2024), which is considered by some critics as one of the most important books of the 21st century.

The discussion with Boštjan Videmšek will be moderated by Petra Svoljšak (ZRC SAZU).

The event will be held in Slovenian with simultaneous interpretation into English.
